Job Summary

The Engineer Specialist is an entry-level position within the IT department, focused on providing technical support, troubleshooting, and assisting in the maintenance of IT systems. This role involves working under the guidance of senior IT staff to learn and contribute to the organization's technology infrastructure.

Job Description

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of servers, workstations, and other IT infrastructure components.
  • Contribute to routine system updates and patches.
  • Assist in user account administration, including account creation, modification, and termination.
  • Manage permissions and access controls in accordance with security policies.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of hardware devices, such as computers, printers, and peripherals.
  • Support the installation and configuration of software applications.
  • Participate in network troubleshooting and support activities.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation for IT systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference.
  • Work collaboratively with other IT team members and departments to address technology-related needs.
  • Assist in liaising with external vendors as needed.
  • Engage in training opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Learn and apply best practices in IT support and administration.
  • Follow and promote IT security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in security awareness training to maintain a secure IT environment.
  • Develop problem-solving skills to independently address common IT issues.

Seek guidance from senior IT staff for complex problem resolution.

Skill

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ year of experience in IT.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
